School Improvement Council (SIC)

A School Improvement Council (SIC) is a broad-based body intended to advise the principal and school and is focused on helping to achieve school improvement. SIC duties focus primarily on the school improvement process. The SIC:

provides input and feedback during the development of the school's five-year renewal plan and annual updates;
-
assists in the implementation of school improvement programs and activities;

monitors and reports on progress toward improvement goals in the annual SIC Report to the Parents and with the principal in the narrative to the SC School Report Card;
-
provides other assistance as requested by the principal.

2026-2027 SIC Meeting Dates: The SIC Board Meetings will take place virtually at 1 pm monthly on Mondays. All council meetings are open to the public, and anyone showing an interest in the council and its activities will be encouraged to attend. Persons interested in presenting at a council meeting may request to be put on the agenda not later than seven (7) days before the meeting date.
