School Improvement Council (SIC)

A School Improvement Council (SIC) is a broad-based body intended to advise the principal and school, and is focused on helping to achieve school improvement.  SIC duties focus primarily on the school improvement process. The SIC:

• provides input and feedback during the development of the school's five-year renewal plan and annual updates;

• assists in the implementation of school improvement programs and activities;

• monitors and reports on progress toward improvement goals in the annual SIC Report to the Parents and with the principal in the narrative to the SC School Report Card;

• provides other assistance as requested by the principal.

2025-2026 SIC Meeting Dates:  The SIC Board Meetings will take place virtually at 4:30pm.  All council meetings are open to the public, and anyone showing an interest in the council and its activities will be encouraged to attend. Persons interested in presenting at a council meeting may request to be put on the agenda not later than seven (7) days before the meeting date.
