 On behalf of the Sandlapper Faculty and Staff, welcome to Sandlapper Elementary School, home of the Stars!
 
     Sandlapper is committed to creating a community of lifelong learners that involves parents, teachers, students, staff and community partners. It is an honor and privilege to work with this extraordinary faculty and staff, amazing students and families. As a faculty, we collaborate and reflect on our teaching as we model and share our passion for lifelong learning. Sandlapper is a special place for ALL students. We are committed to a collaborative culture of Sandlapper and to making a positive impact in the lives of your children. Working together, we will prepare your student as a well rounded individual that will possess the skills to succeed in their future endeavors.
 
     At Sandlapper, we embrace student opportunities for achievement, social and emotional growth. This year, we begin a new journey as a Computer Science Immersion Magnet School. The purpose of our Computer Science Magnet Program at Sandlapper is to prepare students in work, life and citizenship by providing computer science coding skills to become effective collaborators and communicators, computational and creative thinkers as well as problem solvers with a global perspective. Sandlapper has partnered with Code to the Future to provide support with our Computer Science Immersion program. The curriculum integrates computer science across academic content areas and engages students in exciting project-based learning. We will be hosting trimester celebrations and hope you will be able to attend to see and learn more about the extraordinary projects students are creating. 
    
     We invite you to join us on this journey! We extend an open invitation for parents to visit the school. Parent involvement is encouraged and appreciated. Please consider being an active member of our School Improvement Council, PTO, or becoming a parent volunteer.
